Our Story

Driftwood & Clay began with a simple vision: to create a totally rad space where creativity, nature, and community thrive. It’s a place to explore, experiment, and feel inspired—whether you’re making art, discovering plants, or connecting with others.

Meet the people behind Driftwood & Clay that make this space available. They are artists, makers, and instructors who care about creating a space that feels approachable, hands-on, and real.

Shari Knight

Shari keeps things running behind the scenes and is known as the “store mom.” She’s been working with clay since she was five, helping her grandmother fire kilns, and has spent a lifetime exploring painting, pottery, and mixed media. She taught pottery for over 15 years and focuses on creating a supportive space where people can learn in their own way, with a style she describes as “controlled chaos”—expect the unexpected. Outside the studio, she loves being a mom and grandmother. Her advice: give yourself grace, make a mess, and don’t get too attached—mistakes are part of the process.
